All our butters are handmade on our farm, using fresh cream from cows that are allowed to graze outside on grass. We use all the old traditional methods to make our butter - no machines involved. Butter handmade from local cream, lovingly churned and patted into rolls, to give a luxurious creamy taste.
In terms of flavour and texture this labour intensive product stands head and shoulders above commercial butter brands and has been widely recognised by chefs throughout the UK and Ireland who are using the butter in their restaurants. These include Heston Blumenthal, Marcus Wareing and Fortnum & Mason.
We take the salted butter and smoke it over beech and apple wood to make our sensational smoked butter.
We add Dulse (Irish seaweed) and seasalt to the plain butter for an incredible flavour reminiscent of the seashore.
